JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove embarked on on a cross country RV expedition. After spending numerous years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this trip would bring about the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling technologies was the end result of a road expedition.

During their journey, John reacquainted himself with past business acquaintances along the way. In combination with these conversations and a significant event; two workers were unfortunately electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John discovered an infinite market for a product that could quickly and securely elevate people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other construction services.

After returning from their trip, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and bought a metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty personnel, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates many of the simple design essentials of that original lift into current designs.

JLG forklifts have come a ways since Mr. John L. Grove came back to town from his cross-country road trip and since the first aerial work platform debuted on the market. Today, the company proudly continues to expand itself into numerous markets worldwide and develops new products to ensure customers are capable of being more effective and perform in the workplace within a safer atmosphere.
